๐คญ Although Kenrokuen Garden was created over a long period of time by generations of Kaga feudal lords, the basic philosophy behind its creation seems to have remained consistent.
๐ค That philosophy was the โShinsenโ philosophy.
โบ๏ธ A large pond was drilled to resemble an ocean, and an island where immortal immortals were said to live was placed in the pond. The feudal lords projected long life and eternal prosperity into the garden.
