Shibuya is one of the main areas of Tokyo and a place that probably everyone goes to on their trip to Japan. The famous crosswalks of Shibuya crossing and Hachiko the dog statue are some of the most well-known sights in Tokyo. This video includes a guide on where to get a good view of the scramble crossing (free and paid for). There aren’t a lot of tourist spots or things to do in Shibuya – it’s more a place to go shopping, soak up the atmosphere, as well as nightlife, restaurants, bars, arcades and karaoke. But you can’t miss Shibuya Sky, Tokyo’s newest observation deck, for a stunning view of the city!

Some useful tips for my trip next week. Yay can’t wait (was postponed from 2019)
Love Shibuya Tokyo there in Japan & it has things that everyone can love to enjoy there! Thanks for sharing the great things to do there Amy & take care!
Love all the detail! Never expected to see toilets on such a travel advice list haha
Your information is always so fast and rich. 😂🙇👏
Just wanted to say if you haven't ordered her guide book you are MISSING out. It's beautifully illustrated, provides plenty of space for memories and itinerary notes. She even takes the time to add a hand written thank you card. Definitely worth it! -Dwayne
Really useful video but bless you Amy you’re too sweet! Going to a love hotel for a few hours to “have a rest” 😊
I remember hearing from that Japan vlogger Bunny someone that you could visit Hachiko s grave? Idk of this is true or if some of his remains are there. I pointed he is actually Stuffed in the comments ….never read the comments 😅
Another Great Video!! 🙂 Thanks for the info!
i am loving the bread tshirt! Inspo for "breads with faces"? 😉
Love your videos sm, always helpful – we’ve recently booked flights out to Japan (our first trip!!) for April 2024, and are so excited for visiting in general but especially the cherry blossom – we’re visiting Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima and Miyajima in two weeks, it’ll be an epic trip to say the least!
I went to japan in 2018 and things seem so different now from this video!
The disney store is really well themed inside too for anyone who's never been! Very fun to go through even if you're only a small disney fan.
Great video, brings back memories from our visit to Shibuya in January. I will go to Shinjuku in July, and will do at least one daytrip to Shibuya. I may also ride a roundtrip around Tokyo on the JR Yamanote line for the fun of it. There is so much to see and experience, thanks to your videos I have a lot of ideas on what to do on my coming trip to Tokyo 🙂 Greetings from Norway.
The skyline of Tokyo at night, amazing. I was so close to visiting and working in Japan at one point. I'm a Motion Capture performer and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true. Great video.
8:59 "… for a rest"! 😉
Love your Japan videos Amy. 🗾Thanks for the latest information on Shibuya. Cheers! 🗼
Very helpful, thank you.
Thanks so much Amy, your videos have been so helpful with planning our family trip. We are loving Japan
Got home from work today and found Amys guidebook in my letterbox!!!! Winning! AND IT'S SIGNED!!!!! -Chris
I think it would have been nice for Hachiko to have been buried with his owner after he died, reunite them instead of him being taxidermied
My trip is coming up in a few months and I’ve been wondering about planning, but you have such great recommendations that I might end up just copying everything you say! I cannot wait, it’s my first time there!
Just came back from Tokyo yesterday. I noticed a lot of the stores closes at 8 in terms of shopping. Most of the restaurants will cut you off at a certain time even if they open til a certain time so be prepared. There are some restaurants that are opened 24-hours, but be prepare to wait.
hmmm,… I think that I like the Tokyo suburbs more … Tsukishima and Kiba are so nice … ummm, also, it's said that Hachiko kept coming back to the station because the local merchants kept feeding him …
