π‘ Taiyaki is a Japanese fish-shaped pastry typically filled with sweet ingredients. The traditional filling for Taiyaki is red bean paste (anko), made from sweetened azuki beans. However, modern variations of Taiyaki include a wide range of fillings such as chocolate, custard, cheese, matcha, sweet potato, and more. The snack originated in the early 1900s in Tokyo and has since gained widespread popularity throughout Japan and beyond.
