How does the Disney dinning plan quick service work with Moblie ordering?
On the one hand your guest was very well spoken, knowledgeable, had good energy and on the other hand came across as a sales agent(is she a travel agent for your sponsor?) As opposed to someone who doesn't have a vested interest in people getting this plan. Energy is great, but she doesn't mention the issues, price differences from the past, losing a snack credit, etc. I am the target audience for the dining plan and yet it she seems like she just wants to have people do it vs comparing whether it is still worth it compared to before. Edit: watched till the end, yup she is a sales agent. I may be an exception but to listen to a sales agent i need someone who actually will mention downsides, reasons it may not worth etc. I would be concerned with booking her that she wouldn't be focused on providing me with what is the best for me vs trying to sell me on more.
Bookings forecast must be low looking ahead why not bring it in now ?
of course they jacked up the price for the standard plan
The answer is NO. The Dining plan is not a good deal. It is nearly impossible to make it make financial sense. If you get comfort in saying “yes go get that Mickey bar” and not worrying about it being $6 because you paid $8 for it ahead of time on the dining plan then go for it! No judgement, just know you will not save a dime on the dining plan
Excellent information! She mentioned reasons that I never thought of. Thanks for such an awesome video!
love her!! have her on the show more! she's tight
This sweet lady Miss or Misses british??? has forgotten important details about the Plans like couple of few lounges will be included next year were you finally also can redeem your credits on theirs like Nomad Lounge or Tamu Lounge but not the Traders Sam one.
Also unfortunately not every Restaurant will accepting the Dining Plans hopefully on the homepage of WDW will be the list which Restaurants are included and hope for all the travellers next year, that their favorites will be included since would be sad and bad if not so that is also a indicator for some and important to know that some maybe have to been paid extra in addition what would or could impact the plans for using the credits.
Also it is confusing what is meant with Snack or non alcoholic drink I guess since a regular non-alcoholic or alcoholic for adult that is included but what the other thing meant is a Specialty Drink like Milkshakes or so instead of a Snack can be used but for some I guess kinda sadly that they don´t have 2 snack/special drinks included.
But on the other Side with the deluxe plan back than you had 2 snacks per night and that was hard to use for sometimes for some people and than they had also leftovers unless they could utilize them at those Epcot Festivals booths.
I prefered the Deluxe one back then on my first trip was pretty lucky to gained the free plan and just paid the upgrade one but than still have left some credits that I couldn´t use 3 credits per night plus 2 snacks that´s a lot even with Character Dinings that was 2 Credits.
btw also important to know check on the homepage if someone wants to have Character od Signature Dining that possible will take also 2 credits away again some even speculating what would be wild that some maybe even charging 3 Credits if so that would be nasty wild but who knows what Disney has up their sleeves sometimes hope not but have it in mind with your plans all.
Helpful. I’d like a deeper dive into the best/worst uses for dining plan credits
Having gone to Disney world and using the dining plan and going an not using the dining plan the dining plan is not worth the money if you get the most expensive thing on the menu the most expensive snack it still does not add up to what you're paying per day and a lot of times you don't want the most expensive food on the menus and remember you can only use the resort cups at the resort not in the Park that's why I never understood why Disney took that away I guess because they couldn't hire enough people to staff the restaurants what hurt the most is Disney taking away the magical Express and the fast passes for free just remember Disney will never lose money on the parks
I've just done the maths and I can only see the quick service plan being worth it if you are there for two days. Here's why, 2 X quick service credits and 1 X snack (approx spend of $45 per day inc. taxes – worked out on a quick service meal being a max of $17 and a snack being a max of $7) means you are being charged an extra $12 for the convenience per day. Those $12 dollars pay for your resort cup for the first 2 days, then after that it's waste money. I'm a Brit, I visit for 21 days when I come over, for me that would be almost £228 extra (Approx $283) for my entire trip, a family of four would pay almost £912 (approx $1134) more, just for having the convenience. In a cost of living crisis I can't see this being an option that many people will take even with it being nice for ease of use. A two day trip, then it's worth it as you'd lose perhaps $3 but anything more than that and it becomes a waste. Disney pricing is out again!
They priced the working family the people who made them right out the price is to high but worse the food quality is way down
Was there last dec very bad
This was extremely helpful! Thank you so much!
For me, it’s a simple decision. Does Disney do anything to benefit us, as spending guests, the obvious answer is no. Disney will never lose money, for anything they do. In other words, if you think you will save money in the end, well …. All you are really “benefiting” from is the convenience, but even that, you will pay. The refillable mug is not the smartest and healthiest in this deal. Yes, it’s a nice souvenir, but drinking soda all day long for that many days, oh boy. And let’s not forget, being able to get the reservation at the restaurant of your choice will be a struggle in itself. Ok, I know this sounds way pessimistic for the Disney enthusiast. But if you want to “pre-pay” for the convenience to have meals all over Disney World, then go ahead, just don’t start believing you are getting a sweet deal, your not. The smartest thing one can do is NOT buy any of the dining options and simply choose your food options smartly and at your will. Bring a nice sized, easy to carry, water bottle, refill it with, water. Trust me, in the end, you will feel more content. No matter what, going to Disney or any Park, for that matter, is expensive, you will spend and spend, and more than likely over spend on some items, it’s the nature of going on vacation. I simply choose to sleep content knowing I enjoyed the Parks in every way possible.
I remember when the dining plan for sit down meals included an appetizer, entree, desert, drink annnnd the tip. What a time to be alive! Lol
I’m sorry, but this video is not representative of your editorial values. It is basically advertising for the dining plan without the caveats that you normally provide. 👎
Sorry, no matter how good it sounds, unless you eat like a cow daily, and even if you don't, the dining plan is not worth it at all.
If you price things out, it comes out cheaper paying for your meals separately. Disney is still charging you more since you know they aren't losing money by offering this dining plan.
I understand you're on vacation and want convenience, but on average, does a normal person really eat $95 a day every day??
I am not great at Saving up money so paying for a lot of food in advance was a big help to me. Ordering a more expensive entree helps make it reasonable. I did not expect to save money on the plan.
For Epcot kiosks during a festival, will food count as a snack or quick service meal?
Can you trade in 2 quick service credits for 1 table service like a character meal? My family only does 2 character meals on our trips because my kids want to go go go. So we would probably just do the quick service plan and wondered about doing this.
Question: if you have the dining plan, can you mobile order for your quick service meals? Also, can you still exchange your quick service into snacks? is this option still available?
BUT since some meals are 2 credits we liked the idea of a Disney Dining Plus with 2 Table Service per day so we could eat at places like Cinderella's Royal Table and Le Cellier, but still have food for tomorrow……………..LOL
They didn’t mention if characters dining took one sit down credit or two like the original plan did
