Who says there is no nature in Japan. It’s not all concrete. You hop on a train for 40 min and you are by the mountains from Osaka. Can take a bus from Kyoto centre also. Very popular with school kids, japanese and now foreigners. In the past, it was not on the itinerary with foreigners and was a nice sleepy escape. No more now. It’s a zoo. So go early and go off the beaten track and hit SAGA preserved houses street beyond the forest.
