During Golden Week in Japan (around the beginning of May), people travel all over Japan. There were a lot of people from other areas hiking on Mt. Iwate so I decided to talk to everyone I passed. I of course cut out a lot of them, as the video would have been too long if I included everyone, but I thought it was interesting to see all the different people. I hope you like it as well.

Man this is so cool. Id love to do this. but Ill never be able to.
I really enjoyed the interactions with the other climbers, lovely video as usual.
People are always friendly on the trails!
What are the rules in Japan on passing someone on a narrow trail?
Thanks for sharing! It was a beautiful day, the mountain always seems to change no matter how many times you do the hike. Its so beautiful.
ドクタージェリー! It's Dr Jelly!
Thanks Quinlan. Some lucky folks going up Fujisan with you, very jealous.
Oh, what a wonderful video! As others have mentioned, it captures so well the spirit of fellowship found along the trails. But then again, who the heck wouldn’t walk to talk with Quinlan!? More videos like this would be great fun! Thank you!
I really liked hearing from the other people who hiked the trail
It was gratifying to see you get well-deserved recognition on the trail! We are really glad you took the time to stop and talk with people–they seemed to enjoy it as well.
So fun to hear where everyone was from and to see you speak Chinese suddenly! I also really enjoyed seeing the mountain in an in-between season. The barren plants are so gnarly! And then towards the end, at 9:39, you see a person walking the ridgeline followed by what must be a little dog – I hope that was Mocha! I love it when little dogs turn out to be hardy hikers. I once encountered two women with a tiny dog who were about to cross the Hardanger plateau in Norway, and apparently their dog did that kind of thing all the time!
You're officially a super famous YouTuber now that you've been recognized by Japanese hikers on Iwate-san. I didn't know you could speak Chinese!
Such a good video, keep them coming please! ❤
This was really nice
Another banger of a video ! Midwest unite ! Illinois right here woot woot
Great video. Neat to see where all the hikers were from
Looked like a nice day for a hike. Too bad the clouds were covering the summit.
Midwesterners, unite! 😁
Very beautiful area! I am glad so many folk knew you. That is lovely.
Got a cheer out of me from the fellow Minnesotan on the trail. Gotta Midwest represent over there!
What a fun video, it's always so good to see your enthusiasm. It's clear how much being in the mountains brings you to life.
I really enjoyed this. Thank you !
