Welcome to Ahmedabad. This city in northwestern India is known for its vibrant culture and delicious Gujarati cuisine. Ahmedabad is India’s first UNESCO World Heritage city, which makes it the perfect place to explore India’s rich culture and history.

In this documentary, we’re exploring this city’s diverse cuisine, which is popular among vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. From popular street food snacks like ganthiya, fafda, and dhokla, to savory favorites like jini dosas, ghughra sandwiches, and baingan ka bharta, Ahmedabad is a city made for foodies.

    Hi David …this is my first seeing Gujarati foods…actually these videos…such a wide array..and I like that you can have vege and non vege. Ancient temples…colorful clothes/footwear..Ice cream on a griddle never seen that before and the graves in the cafe…very uusual. Gandhi the peacemaking freedom fighter's home….just an amazing part of History….still viewing . As always Thanks David and SAM…you both be safe on all your travels . Peace and Blessings.

    Hey David. Hope you and your family are enjoying the Memorial Day holiday. Just finished watching and there really isn't much to say except that I thoroughly enjoyed it because I had not seen any of this before. All that food looked so good, clean, and it's food that even I can enjoy, picking out the healthy stuff though. Too much butter, ghee and sugar for me. The bread with the jelly, cream and butter reminded me of when we used to spread condensed milk on slices of bread and eat it. We also dipped it in coffee or cocoa tea. Those were the days eh. It was so nice to see Sam too. Your hostess, Rutu, was well versed in what she does. After spending so much time with Sam, it was so sad when you both hugged and said goodbye to one another. But it was so good to see your dad at the end of it all. I can see the love you both have for one another. Great dad and family. So, I am finished with these docs. until you post another one.
