In this episode of our 30-day Japan adventure, we take you on a journey of a lifetime on the bullet train from Osaka to Hiroshima. The bullet train, also known as the Shinkansen, is a high-speed train that can reach speeds of up to 320km per hour. This is truly impressive and makes it one of the fastest trains in the world. Not only is it fast, but it’s also one of the safest modes of transportation. In its 57 years of operation, there have been no deaths due to derailment or collision. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!
The train journey from Osaka to Hiroshima takes about an hour and a half, which may seem short, but it’s packed with stunning views of Japan’s countryside. You’ll see rice paddies, mountains, and even glimpses of the Seto Inland Sea. As you approach Hiroshima, you’ll see the iconic Atomic Bomb Dome, which serves as a reminder of the devastating effects of the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima in 1945. Once you arrive in Hiroshima, we’ll take you on a visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, where you can learn more about the events of that fateful day.
After our visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, it’s time to try some regional cuisine. Hiroshima is famous for its Okonomiyaki, a savory pancake made with batter, cabbage, meat, seafood, and other ingredients, all grilled together on a hot plate. Unlike the famous Osaka Okonomiyaki, Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki is made by layering the ingredients on top of each other, creating a tower of deliciousness. It’s usually topped with sauce, mayonnaise, and seaweed flakes. You’ll get to see how it’s made and enjoy a delicious meal. This will be a fantastic opportunity to try something new and experience the unique flavors of Hiroshima.
Next, we’ll hop on another bullet train and head to Kobe, a city famous for its beef. Kobe beef is known for its tenderness, flavor, and marbling, and is considered a luxury food item. We’ll take you to a restaurant where you can witness the unique way that this beef is prepared and cooked to perfection. You’ll be able to savor the taste of this exquisite beef and experience the culinary delights of Japan.

Taking the train ride looks lie fun. Thank God that the taxis can't go as fast as the train. The $1,000 for the 4 of you isn't that bad considering the cost and time that it would cost for the taxi. Much love for the Japanese people and I wish that wars never had to happen. It's great that they are an ally and not an enemy. The great thing about the past is that we can use it to make a better future.

A5 wagyu is my favorite! So i believe Kobe Wagyu is called that because the cows are raised in Kobe, Japan. There are other amazing producers of Wagyu such as Miyazaki, Kagoshima and Hokkaido… I've had Kagoshima, Kobe & Miyazaki… Also Olive Fed varieties… I have NOT tried Kobe yet… weird right? the more famous one i haven't tried yet haha
