渋谷・鹿児島「おはら祭」
毎年5月中旬の土曜日・日曜日に、渋谷109前を交通止めにして、道玄坂・文化村通りをメイン会場に開催されます。まさに、南九州最大の「おはら祭」を東京・渋谷での再現です。当時の渋谷区長と鹿児島出身の経済人のご尽力で平成10年4月に始まった踊りパレードです「第18回 渋谷・鹿児島おはら祭」では、関東連・鹿児島連の67連、約2,600人の踊り手が「おはら節」、「渋谷音頭」、「ハンヤ節」「TOKYOオハラ」を踊りながらパレードを繰り広げます。また、沿道では、鹿児島の物産展や観光案内なども開かれています。
Shibuya and Kagoshima “Ohara Festival”
It is held on Saturdays and Sundays in mid-May every year, with Shibuya 109 front closed to traffic, and Dogenzaka Bunkamura-dori as the main venue. It is exactly the reproduction of the largest “Ohara Festival” in Southern Kyushu in Shibuya, Tokyo. The 18th Shibuya Kagoshima Ohara Festival, a dance parade that began in April 1998 thanks to the efforts of the Mayor of Shibuya Ward and businessmen from Kagoshima at the time, was attended by approximately 2,600 people in 67 groups from the Kanto and Kagoshima groups. The parade is held by dancers dancing “Ohara-bushi,” “Shibuya Ondo,” “Hanya-bushi,” and “TOKYO Ohara.” In addition, along the route, there are exhibitions of Kagoshima products and tourist information.
