1. Google maps πŸ—ΊοΈ – tbh, the only navigation app you need in Japan. I love how they tell you how much your commute will cost and which train car you need to be at for the fastest transfer or exit.

2. WanderlogπŸ“±- They have a premium version or a free one, of course, ya girl here is using the free one. Even with the free one, they have so many features you can use like – budgeting, writing notes to each destination and estimate commute times from point A to B. Tbh, I only used the day to day planning and the map feature, it was all I needed and it did great

3. Google translate 🀳- The camera feature was a life savior, especially when it came to menus. A lot of places do provide English menus nowadays but for those who do not, this came in clutch!
