This is a video from the yamadera mountain. There’s an audio cut about a minute in because of a comment I made that came off different than intended (was commenting on the number of foreigners compared to in Hokkaido), but otherwise unedited footage. It’s said that traversing the mountain is supposed to cure physical desire. The first thing I saw after reading that sign was a man grabbing his girlfriend’s butt. Got to say hello to a bunch of elementary schoolers who were on a field trip but didn’t record it for various reasons. The people of Yamagata Prefecture were incredibly welcoming and nice. A lady lead me into her toasted rice treat stall and let me sample some products on the house. It rained a lot and my feet hurt since this was the last stretch of my trip, but I have fond memories of the Buddhist mountainside.
