FOODIE TRAVEL IN JAPAN – Eating in Miyagi and Tokachi

I had an amazing adventure throughout Japan, exploring areas designated as Savor Japan ( by the Japanese government. Only five areas of the country have been certified as having truly unique food and food products. One is Tokachi on the island of Hokkaido and the other is Yamagata in the Miyagi prefecture, near Sendai.

Here’s a look at my lunch in Miyagi, my tour of a cheese factory and my lunch in Tokachi on Hokkaido.
