ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2022年1月に和歌山県那智勝浦町にある「飛瀧神社/那智の滝」に行きました。
・飛瀧神社
熊野那智大社の別宮であり、御瀧そのものをこの地に大己貴神が現れた御神体としてお祀りしている。
そのため、飛瀧神社には神様をお祀りする本殿、拝殿はなく、直接、那智御瀧を拝礼している。
滝の飛沫に触れることによって、延命長寿の霊験があるという伝説がある。
飛瀧神社の歴史は非常に永く、元々那智山では飛瀧神社の場所で御瀧の神様と熊野の神々がお祀りされており、仁徳天皇５年の年に熊野那智大社が造営され現在の位置に遷ったと伝わっている。

・那智の滝
大雲取連山から流れている流水が大瀧となっており、全山に那智48瀧と呼ばれる数の瀧があるとされ、その中でもとりわけ落差が大きいものが那智御瀧。
こちらの瀧は一の瀧とも称し、高さ133ｍ、銚子口の幅13ｍ、瀧壺の深さは１０ｍあり、落下する水量は毎秒１トン程とも言われています。
この瀧の上流の比較的に近い場所に二の瀧・三の瀧と呼ばれる瀧があり、一の瀧から三の瀧までの３つの瀧を総称して国の名勝に指定されています。
また、下流のすぐ近くには瀧修業で有名な文覚上人が、この地で修業した逸話に因んで名づけられた文覚の瀧があります。この付近一帯は吉野熊野国立公園特別地域に定められ、周辺の山は那智原始林として国の天然記念物に選ばれています。

・Hiryu Shrine
It is a separate shrine of Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine, and the waterfall itself is enshrined as the object of worship that appears on this ground.
For this reason, Hitaki Shrine does not have a main hall or hall of worship to enshrine the gods, and worships directly at Nachi Mitaki.
There is a legend that if you touch the spray of the waterfall, you will have a miraculous effect of prolonging your life.
The history of Hitaki Shrine is very long. Originally, the God of Otaki and the gods of Kumano were enshrined at the place of Hitaki Shrine on Mt. Nachi. It is said that the position has changed.
Part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range”.
・Nachi Falls
The flowing water from the Okumotori mountain range forms a large waterfall, and it is said that there are 48 waterfalls in Nachi throughout the mountains.
This waterfall is also called Ichi-no-Taki, and is 133m high, 13m wide at Choshiguchi, and 10m deep at the basin.
There are waterfalls called Ni-no-taki and San-no-taki near the upstream of this waterfall, and the three waterfalls from Ichi-no-taki to San-no-taki are collectively designated as a national scenic spot.
In addition, near the downstream, there is Mongaku Falls, named after the anecdote that Mongaku Shonin, who is famous for his training in waterfalls, trained in this area. The area around this area is designated as a special area of Yoshino-Kumano National Park, and the surrounding mountains are designated as a national natural monument as Nachi Primeval Forest.
