Taiyai is a Japanese fish-shaped pastry most commonly filled with sweet bean paste made from adzuki beans.
There are other fillings such as custard, blueberry, strawberry, apple, and more.
In this shop, they have Hello Kitty ones shaped like a mermaid too.
It is usually served hot but it’s my first time seeing this cold served taiyaki which is great for warm weather so I had to try one. I came back for more because it was so good.
