  1. Manchester is a huge city, you could walk around down town all day and not see everything. The population of the metro area to closer to 3 million.

  2. Ok I had to leave a comment and explain the suds in the fountain. It's a kinda prank local kids like to do.

  3. While you were having a shoot I was in the gym not far from Piccadily. Hope you had a great time. What you saw were trams not trains. Man, Saturday was one of the hottest days so far. Great video. You should have tried the barm 😂

  4. People have warned me against visiting Manchester, uk. No go areas, drugs etc. The shopping part looks ok, maybe its at night you would have to watch out or if a female travelling through. Googled luggage lockers in manchester there are loads. Some 24 hr ones, no size, weight restrictions. Costs around £5 approx.

Barm buns are a type of english savoury bun.

  5. I've followed your travels for a few years now and you were in my home town of Manchester! I was walking down those streets only an hour or two later! It would have been funny to have met by chance. Interesting to see your take on the city. Hope you enjoyed your whistle stop tour!

  6. Pity you didn’t stay until the evening to see the punch-ups, druggies, drunkards, tarts, aggressive beggars, pickpockets and public urination … all part of the ‘wonderful city’s’ attractions … 👎

  7. A barm or barm cake is a term used to describe a bread roll that is only used in Lancashire, the area surrounding Manchester.
The IRA (Irish Republican Army} bomb damaged the Arndale Centre (a shopping centre) sometime is in the 80s or 90s. It had to be demolished and was rebuilt, but to a different design.

  8. Gabriel have you considered visiting Bosnia? You could travel to the famous "Bosnian Pyramids" yourself to confirm they are real. (They are obviously). If you haven't heard of the Bosnian pyramids it is definitely worth researching and learning about.

  9. They weren't trains they were trams,quite different.Where I live a barm is called a batch or batch cake,I am a northerner.

  10. Last summer I found some dirt cheap rooms in central Manchester. It was nothing fancy but did the job. Pretty good prices in Liverpool as well. The UK is pretty reasonable once you get away from London.

  11. Nice video and Welcome to Manchester 😊 Piccadilly gardens used to be beautiful, now sadly avoided by many 😢 especially after 7 pm

  12. Gabe in Manchester! Albeit briefly. It makes me sad that the first parts of the city that tourists come across (Piccadilly 'Gardens' and Market street) are the worst parts of the city. I'm glad you saw the cathedral at least. And you were correct, trains were on strike (again) on Saturday, the yellow things were trams, which don't go out as far as the airport.

  13. Get a taxi not a crap uber tippacal yank bringing your unwanted scumbag us companies over here 😒

  14. If youre still in Manchester let us know. Would love to meet and show you around mate.

  15. Used to be able to get a beer in the north for pound a pint back in the naughties!
Good to see you in Manny though you should come back to the UK sometime you have many fans here!

  16. Great video, enjoyed seeing the City I love from your perspective. The Oyster bar was lifted or jacked up 5 metres on concrete foundations to bring it up to the modern street level.

  17. You confuse trams for trains. Trains don’t run through pedestrian areas, trams do.

  18. Wow, This Complex With The Oyster Restaurant Looks Like The Netherlands! I Believe This Cathedral Has Always Been There, Not Lifted! Have Fun Gabriel In Manchester!

  19. Correction from a Mancunian: Manchester does not have a population of 550,000, but of 2,7 million. 550,000 is only the population of the city centre.

  20. The worlds first Industrial city Manchesters nickname was Cottonopolis. Also home to the worlds first railway station. And Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx, met here to discuss the theory of communism before writing the communist manifesto.
