In our first full day in Tokyo, we decided to grab an amazing Tonkatsu lunch in Shinjuku. There we also got a glimpse of Godzilla, checked out Golden Gai and managed to visit Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden where we saw PLENTY of Sakura (cherry blossoms). We then went out a hunt for our FAVORITE snack- the Marusei Rum Butter Raisin cookie from Hokkaido. Thankfully a fest was going on in the Keio Department store where we snagged some boxes and went to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building to snack on them.
That evening we headed over to Shibuya where the Shibuya Scramble Crossing indeed as busy and packed as we expected! It took awhile for us to find dinner, but we eventually settled on conveyor belt sushi followed by drinks at one of Asia’s Best 50 bars, The SG Club and some midnight ramen at Ichiran!
