While in the downtown area of Manila Philippines, we thought we might as well stop over at the Manila Ocean Park to check out how it is, and it really surprised us.
Upon our entrance to the area we were confused to see not many people walking in the area, it almost seemed closed, but there were plenty of cars in the parking lot so we kept walking. We then found the ticket counter where we paid 750 each for entrance to all of the attractions in the park. Before hitting up the attractions we got some potato corner, then went to go see jellyfish, creepy crawlies, seal shows, penguins, and much more!

Manila Ocean Park is definitely better than what they have here in Long Beach Acquarium. A lot of fish in that acquarium I have not seen elsewhere. The live show was really good as well.
Why is it everytime I see Manila Ocean Park, it's always cloudy/rainy. Last time I went there it's also raining

I pray that people would patronize the ocean park for the care and provisions of marine life. They need maintenance, food for the animals and salary of staff. If the park doesn't earn money there will be no fund for their needs and what will happen to the animals?
I've never been to Ocean Park. I only saw it many times on Youtube. I cannot feel how they feel when thry are there.

May I suggest try to visit the Corregidor Island. Corregidor Island is the first Island situated at he middle of the Manila Bay. It is 2nd Historical site from Intramuros. Corregidor Island during the Spanish era is a Spanish Fortress where all ships entering the Manila bay must make a stop for Immigration and customs for all goods and people before going to Manila Intramuros. American era is the very first US American Base where General Douglas McArthur held his office for Asia Pacific. Corregidor filled with Anti Aircraft Batteries. It has also 20 feet Malinta tunnel built for US Military weapon artillery storage and hospital medical facility. You can visit the island using the water boat shuttle beside the Mall of Asia beside Esplanade.
Yeah the place is empty unless there are field trips. That is one of the "go to" places when kids go on a school field trip. Google field trip places in the Philippines. Good thing it was quiet when you visited the place. Oh and i hope duck likes his coffee although i highly suspect she is a girl because of the ribbon. π
There used to be a fountain show from this exact ocean park. It had Earth's elements, water, air, fire and light. The show was closed because they're lazy to fix the fountain.
maintaining the park is expensive. specially keeping the animals well nourished & clean. tstop this animal cruelty! nothing entertaining seeing the seals (& most of the park's animals) are exploited. release them to their natural environment.
Duck was supposed to be in the bird show. Why is he absent?
