Hello everyone!
Join us virtually on an epic road trip from Tsukuba to Niigata, Akita, Aomori, Mutsu, Miyagi, and Fukushima! We are a group of 10 friends from the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), from 6 different countries, and we had the time of our lives exploring the beauty of Japan’s northern region, especially the coastal area. We traveled around 2000 km in 6 days.

From the scenic coastal drives of Niigata and Aomori to the stunning views of Mount Akita-Komagatake, our journey was filled with breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable experiences.

But the best part of the trip was the time spent with each other. We laughed, sang, and bonded over our shared love for adventure and exploration. This road trip was truly the highlight of our time in Japan, and we hope you enjoy following along on our journey.
