バラは、花が咲く時期は異なりますが見応えがあるのが春バラと秋バラです。春バラは、花数が多く色鮮やかで多くのバラは5月～6月が見頃。東京都内には重厚な洋館を背景に調和し、色とりどりのバラが咲きそろう場所や広々として都立公園の敷地にバラ園があります。一般にバラは見頃になってから1～2週間は楽しめます。各バラ園には世界の珍しい原種バラを展示するエリアや最新品種を植栽する花壇など、多彩なバラのコレクションが楽しめます。都内ではバラ園として大きいのが神代植物園。早朝に訪れるとバラの香りも楽しめます。春バラの見ごろは5月中旬～6月上旬、秋バラの見ごろは10月中旬～11月上旬頃です。
