  1. Beautiful horses this year. One thing I never noticed was the guy running around sweeping up in between the crowd, or is he there for the horse droppings?

  2. The tossing of the treats at the end reminded me of my childhood. Every year up until I was 12 yrs old, I used to scramble for the candy, and other treats tossed by the festival organizers. But then at 12 I saw a younger boy nearby crying. I asked him why, and he said he couldn't get any treats because everyone else grabbed them first. I gave him all the candy, and popcorn balls, and other things I managed to get that I had put in my baseball cap. It wasn't really all that much, but it made his day! I remember that moment so fondly.
