San Diego Zoo Tour – Lions, Tigers, And Bears (& Prado Restaurant Review)!

Greetings, all! It has been about 2 decades since I last visited the San Diego Zoo, but the time has finally come for me to return to this incredible place. My stepfather was curious to see a video here and I’m more than happy to oblige! Although I did my best to cover as much as I possibly could in my time there, I feel like there is still a good chunk for me to discover. That being said, almost every iconic animal species can be found here: gorillas, tigers, polar bears, giraffes, elephants, lions, and the list goes on! If you enjoyed the video, I would humbly ask you to consider donating to the zoo itself! Link below!

  1. I use to work at the San Diego Zoo. On my breaks and lunches, I'd slip into a civilian shirt and go sit right next to the glass at the Orangutans enclosure. One day the baby came over and leaned opposite of me. We looked into each other's eyes and I could see the intelligence. Then from the upper deck they tossed in frozen fruit and they all ran around grabbing as much as they could. The baby came back over to me with its cheeks puffed way out then spit all that right at me 🤣 then proceeded to lick it all up. The Baby was playing with me through the glass.

One of the adults Orangutans came from a Zoo and always had a roof over their head, so to calm him down they put him in a box. Well, the Box became the central focus for everyone. They literally carefully tore the box down the seems then wore it like a cape with one hand holding it in place. Eventually, the box would be put down and one of the other Orangutans would casually walk over and try to look innocent and not up to anything then snag the box and run. They would keep this up for hours.

Literally, the Orangutans are my favorite simply because I've looked deep into there eyes and they looked back with that spark of intelligence and a grin

  2. Your editor has been working overtime Jimmy, you should give him a raise. 😁 Cool video, my favorites were the cheetahs 🐆.

  3. Gonna have to hop on a flight JUST to try out Prado’s prime beef sushi! Fun video, I loved seeing the elephants🐘

  4. I did skip the bugs. I enjoyed the reptiles. I need a bear. What a great zoo. My mom took me when I was like four and they had strollers shaped like sharks or something. It's time to go back. In the winter.

  5. The SD Zoo is huge! Great vlog 😀We've seen the cheetahs before, but we'd love to see them again! Powerful and graceful.
