This is a short video of my travel to Mie Prefecture in Japan.
My friend drove me there from Nagoya and the journey took about 2hrs.
Mie Prefecture (三重) is a popular tourism destination home to Nagashima Spa Land, Suzuka International Racing Course, and some of the oldest and holiest sites in Shinto, the traditional religion of Japan, including the Ise Grand Shrine (伊勢神宮, Ise Jingū) that I visited. The shrine is the home of the sun goddess Amaterasu, Japan’s supreme deity, and the location of the Sacred Mirror of the Emperor.
I also visited the Okage Yokocho Ancient Street（おかげ横丁) that is located right next to the Grand Shrine.
After a short lunch break, I continued my journey to Nabana no Sato, one of the greatest winter illuminations in Japan! It was beautiful and nice especially when the lights were on, awesome!
It was the 2nd week of December 2022 then, weather was cold (though it wasn’t snowing yet). I love the coldness, very cooling and refreshing and in Singapore, is what we called “Shiok” (meaning “feeling great”)!
