Well this is it! Tomorrow at midnight, Japan’s COVID requirements will be done and gone! It has been a long 3 years since we have seen Japan’s borders drop all their strict requirements. But, it is great to see the borders FINALLY go back to normal so we can REALLY start putting COVID 19 in our rearview mirrors!     Great news!! I’m going back to Japan on May 27th. I wanted to go after Golden week due to the crowds and high prices. So, I think May 27th will be good.

    Thanks for the update! I picked up my work visa today and I'm flying out Monday! Super excited! Restrictions lifting will make everythng so much easier. Very glad I'm not going to have to deal with hotel bookings etc as I won't go to Tokyo for another few weeks.

    Just got back a few days ago. Japan is indeed packed. Wouldn't be surprised if the April numbers show a huge spike. This was our 8th trip to Japan and Kyoto was as busy as I've seen it.

    Excellent…our flight arrives at 22:30 in Haneda. Not much time to catch the last monorail at 23:50. Without the entry requirements, it will (hopefully) be quicker πŸ™‚

    I was one of those 1.8mil visiting in March. I thought the lines were bad then…..Imagine them when the numbers increase even more. Still had an amazing trip though!
