Remember, you can always save time by flying to Osaka and flying back home from Tokyo.
Also, you can visit Nara from Kyoto as a day-trip, it’s only 1hr by a regular cheap train.
Another thing to know is that Hanade Airport is much closer to central Tokyo than Narita Airport.
