Destinations in central Japan – Hida Takayama

Takayama is a beautiful city located in central Japan. It is well connected by all major cities. There are direct highway buses available from Shinjuku station in Tokyo. There is a train station also in Takayama which provides convenient connections from other cities.
The city is located in Hida region in Gifu prefecture, that is why it is referred to as Hida Takayama, to distinguish it from other places with the same name Takayama in Japan.
