There's an international summit taking place in Japan fairly soon. That may have something to do with it. Hasn't been detailed what this guy's motives were yet. Or it might never be known.

Just to clarify: We suspect this was a pipe bomb that failed to explode and just burned off the contents producing smoke. (48 second video and we still need to clarify the narration, for some. 😀 )

We've had a couple of pipe bombs thrown into back gardens on my street, one blew a couple of windows in. Looked like that I believe. Is there strong political divisiveness in Japan?

Guy didnt test the bomb he just assembled it and expected it to work 🤦♂ making a bomb is not easy, if i were to make one and attempt this i would make more and go somewhere in the field to test them under different conditions. i once bought special firecrackers and found out they dont work if thrown for some reason, but if lit on the ground standing they explode fine…
