Big Ben London

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London. The clock tower itself is officially known as the Elizabeth Tower, named in honor of Queen Elizabeth II. The tower stands 315 feet (96 meters) tall and was completed in 1859. It has four clock faces, each measuring 23 feet (7 meters) in diameter, and the bell inside weighs 13.7 tons (12.4 metric tons). The chimes of Big Ben are heard every hour on the hour and are one of the most iconic sounds of London.
