One of the three major weirs in the Kanto region, the row of cherry trees along the Fukuoka weir on the Kokai River is famous for its cherry blossoms. Selected as one of the top 100 sightseeing spots in Ibaraki, the 1.8km-long tunnel of cherry blossoms along the embankment is worth seeing. The embankment, lined with cherry blossom trees, is equipped with a promenade and multi-purpose plaza, and is a place of relaxation for people who enjoy walking and fishing.
