Ikebukuro Station is the world’s 2nd busiest train station behind Shinjuku Station. It receives over 2.71 million passengers per day passing through its corridors and train platforms. It originally opened on April 1st, 1903.
The station itself is connected with the Seibu, Tobu, Parco, and Lumine department stores.
The station provides commuters a connection with the Yamanote Line, Saikyo Line, Shonan-Shinjuku Line, the Seibu-Ikebukuro Line, the Tobu Tojo Line, as well as the Marunouchi, Yurakucho, and Fukutoshin lines.
If you’re ever in Tokyo, Ikebukuro is definitely one of the places you really need to check out. Good luck not getting lost inside the station!

Thank you for the interesting tour, I wonder how often people get lost in there. It's nice to see how well maintained it is.
Really interesting video this time! As always Cory enjoyed the video!
What happens in a place like this when there's an earthquake?

Yesterday I could not see the stream, but I see it now and I liked it a lot. Thanks.q
Can't imagine it 2-3x more crowded. I would be doing a large loop around this area.
Yeah Cory, this is like a city under a city, you could devote a day to this if you wanted to, I did the same and always surfaced in a different place then where I descended.
