How is it Going? 9 Years of Vanlife

In this video I talk about my current set up after 9 years of van life.
*My name is Brian. I started living full time in a self built camper van in 2014 in my hometown of San Diego, CA. I hit the road full-time in 2015 to pursue seasonal work and travel around the U.S. I find free camping on public land and enjoy photography, hiking, biking, and kayaking in nature. Join me on my adventures.
Thanks for watching!

  1. I have been with you from the beginning. I canโ€™t believe it has been 9 years, wow! So very proud of you! Your videos show us how at peace you are with this life style. Blessings to you and Kelly as you travel through Godโ€™s Country. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. You can't move owned property but you can rent it out ๐Ÿ’ธ. And you have a place to go if circumstances (such as your health) go south. Also, you pay property taxes to help your state maintain what you use.

  3. Brain, Have been following your Youtube Program for some years. I realize it is your journey in life your traveling through. You have given a taste of your life not in a Sticks & Bricks Foundation Grounded, yours is on a Wheel Foundation. Other than that, you give a taste of your Daily & Nightly Life you want to put out to share. Some is interesting & most is of a persons life & living, Edited Verson. Everyone's journey in life is never the same. So never surprised. What you have in your drawers has never been a concern of need to know. That does not define life in living. No more than if one would give the same tour of their Sticks & Bricks Home. No more than Bob Wells is so consumed where do Humans go to the Bathroom. Brian no one has a perfect life, we all have Up & Down Times in life. Like shared, everyone's life is their own Journey. The NoMad Life is a Calling. About Your Life Choices, so right your life journey is not sellable. You make a living from doing your Youtube program & you need extra then your life works at Jobs of your choice. I realize some people will watch you like a TV Soap Opera & others, Idea's to do this or that in the Build or change in their Build. We all add to other peoples lives in one way or another. I have yet to ever hear from anyone on their Youtube channel, really totally open up & share about their genuine life in realโฑtime. There is no way one can have 100's of or 1,000' of Friends one really cares about. If a person has on just one hand, 5 great souls in life, they are very fortunate person in life. So overlooking the sales pitch, a Youtube Program is a one way sharing, one does not have the interaction of the person tuning into. Only how many Likes & Patrons do I get this time. Just wish you the best in your journey. Safe Travels. always, Tommy๐Ÿค

  4. why did I sub to this channel? lmao dude is hella boring. Guessing it has somethin to do with the small D/motorcycle thing. Those guys tend to not have much personality

  5. I like what you do. Many people donโ€™t understand and accept the way I live either !
    Carry on !

  6. That xt250 really pairs well with your van. I got a crf250l to take with me on the back of my sprinter van. It does seem a little sketchy with just straps keeping it from falling off the back.

  7. Gooday Brian I haven't posted for a while and it's Good to see you are well and still enjoying your life on the road mate. Keep on enjoying the lifestyle , being well in your life is very important .

    Cheers Michael. Vic Aust.

  10. Happy 9th Nomadic Anniversary!! I donโ€™t remember when I first began following you, and I guess thatโ€™s okay. Which means thereโ€™s still a lot more roads and trails out there aheadโ€ฆ..just over the next hill or around the next curve. I wish I was out there taking it all inโ€ฆ..one day at a time.

  11. Always enjoy your videos, most inspiring! Total freedom! May I ask what material your external windshield cover is? It extends to the sides, canvas? Looks like canvas deflecting the sun.

  12. Brian my love. Good for you. Being at peace in your soul is so valuable. Traveling the United States is a trip worth taking. Iโ€™m envious of your ability to move when you get tired of a particular location. You have all the comforts of home and the world before you. I love you. Take care and stay safe. Happy Easter ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŒนโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฅ

  21. Consider a 270 batwing awning for the back & side? I think the only thing your home is missing is MORE shade. Enjoy your videos ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  22. Hi, Nice rigs you have there. I've been fulltiming 14 years, getting ready to retire so am thinking about rigs like your van. Wondered if you would list your larger loads. You mentioned you had a little more than you use and I'd like to compare what I use/want.

  23. I love your videos.
    Joan
I could do that , I get restless in an apartment within about 6 months.
    Lol

  24. I feel the same, Brian. So, so looking forward to getting out there full time and selling my house! Your build is simple but very nice and laid out very well! Hope you donโ€™t mind, but Iโ€™m getting ideas for my inside from yours.

  26. I started out about 9 years , I talked to in San Diego when I started out , still in my van but bought 10 acres in Arizona last October for a home base but still traveling as weather allows nice to have someplace to go and recuperate although totally off grid no power or water . Just enjoying life .

  27. Brian, time tested nomad
