The level of detail in this content is impressive. 👀
HEY ! thjank you for this super nice video ! especially ur drawing on the paper was very helpful !
Excellent combination of non-JR and JR subway travel as well as cash machine and IC pass travel in the two occasions. Now I have a question that's relevant only to a person with health challenge. I would prefer to walk say on a flat street for a distance if I can avoid climbing stairs. Does the station exit maps show the location of escalators (or elevators where available)?
Incidentally, I have found using a compass very useful underground. I have carried a real compass for many years but now my iPhone has one. You can show its usefulness in the Tokyo subways (and see other You Tubers copy you). You got the scoop first from this old Indian who has been to fifty countries.
It's worth repeating that an IC card that works in Tokyo works in the Kansai area as well both for the subway and outside, for example, in vending machines. Next time you create an episode for an airport, show how one can get something useful from a vending machine to utilize the last Yen on the IC card. Thank you for your diligence including the trick of using colored pens on paper to show the subways.
Jake-san, thank you for your another informative video. I always find it quite difficult to navigate subways in big cities in Japan like Tokyo and Osaka, but the signages there are always clear and helpful for us travelers. I've made mistakes several times for boarding too early because the distance between each train on the same platform was under a minute. It's crazy how punctual Japanese trains and buses are, no matter which company owns them.
Jake-san, as a family with young children, we very much love eating yakitori. Unfortunately, most izakayas aren't suitable for children since it allowed smoking. Could you recommend a good yakitori place / restaurant chains for families with children? Would appreciate it very much. Bonus point if you also teach us how to read the menu since izakayas only provide Japanese menu.
Jake San, May i know which app for the japan train planner to best to use ??
Thank you very much. Helpfull informations for my visit next week. 🙂
