Spring in Japan is the best season to enjoy nature and watch cherry trees bloom! Sakura blooms from February for early kinds, and end of March – the start of April the most common type, is someiyoshino sakura.
There are various sakura blooming forecasts, as well as well-monitored parks that publish the level of sakura bloom from the start to full bloom, and my favorite, sakura snow. Sakura snow is when petals are falling down and wind is blowing them around, making it a magical view to experience.
Unfortunately this year it’s very rainy, but also sakura season started at least 1 week early in Tokyo, as well as other parts of Japan.
Let’s catch the season in Tokyo, and then move to the north later next month, as well as Hokkaido planned to be in bloom by May!
