  1. It is one of the major down-side to living in Japan. The tolls for roads are criminal. There should be some other mechanism for paying for road maintenance and construction. Shinkansen for me boy howdy.

  2. Awesome road trip mate. Always amazes me when I see those long tunnels and curving roads through the mountains. The bridge was so beautiful and the scenery was gorgeous. I rented a car a couple of years ago and got on a toll road without a pass and they charged me $25 as a fine. The toll on the road you took is quite high compared to what I've seen locally. Looking forward to more of these videos.

  3. Loved the ride so far Mick.  Please tell Fumi to hold her speed down, she about threw me out of the car on those fast curves….LOL..  Wow $50. to cross a bridge,  my gosh they must be trying to pay it off fast.  Looking forward to the next segment.   Hope you two are doing well, I always look forward to your interesting videos.   =)..  PS. After watching your video I went to google earth and took a good look at that bridge.  What a amazing structure.  Did you know that you can join a tour that will take you to the top of one of the towers.  What an experience,  check it out.

  4. This bridge is longer than the Verrazano and Golden Gate Bridges combined, but it's really huge. The Verrazano Narrows Bridge has a much better structure than this one. The Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges are the smaller ones and has less structure, and these were the three oldest bridges in New York City long, long before this tops it all.

  5. Fortunately, I have visited this bridge, a master piece of engineering ! I also had the chance to see the structure below the road ! Fantastic !

  6. Before they showed her face I thought the British guy knew Japanese and could understand the computer’s voice! 🤣
