Today we had a free day to explore Tokyo! We revisited Harajuku but didn’t stay long as most of the shops hadn’t opened yet. (TIP: Majority of stores in Tokyo don’t open till 10am, sometimes till 11am)
Then we headed to Shinjuku where we had lunch, stopped at a department store (mainly for the great food hall) and Don Quijote (multi story discount store). We then took a train to Tachikawa to visit Fuji Kindergarten, which was awarded a global architecture prize for it’s transformative design (Mum is a teacher which is why we made this stop).
Saving the best for last, we finished the day Mario karting around Tokyo and had dinner at Ninja Akasaka, a ninja themed restaurant!
