Dazaifu Tenmangu: A Celebration of Four Seasons and Time-Honored Festivals

Dazaifu is a city located in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is situated about 15 kilometers southeast of Fukuoka city and is known for its historical significance as a former administrative center of the Kyushu region.
Dazaifu Tenmangu is a Shinto shrine in Fukuoka, Japan, dedicated to the deified spirit of Sugawara no Michizane, patron of scholarship and learning. The shrine was established in 905 AD, shortly after Michizane’s death.
Throughout the year, we admired autumn leaves, traditional festivals, and plum trees blooming at Dazaifu Tenmangu.
