I'm more interested in the entry restrictions, particularly the (hopeful) relaxing of the rules regarding proof of vaccination (I have had three jabs). Basically I just want to be able to arrive in Japan and gain entry with just my passport (and visa if I need one coming from the UK)
Our family of 5 just returned from a two week stay. We used masks indoors only. I found it a major hurdle to interact with the locals.
Thank you for this video! We are off to Japan this summer, and while I was all for mask wearing, wearing a mask outside or when driving a car alone definitely makes no sense to me. It will be fascinating to see how it unfolds by the summer. We will do what most people are doing, but I do really hope we don't feel we need to wear it outdoors (it will be super hot!!!). As a teacher who has seen and interacted with hundreds of kids every day, and done all the other necessary precautions and on and on, I've definitely moved on.
I’m really glad I’m going after the 13th of March. I’ll still keep my masks on me and probably wear them indoors but outside I’m not going to but I’ll at least keep it under my chin in case it gets crowded.
The vast vast majority of people aren't even wearing N95 masks, essentially their cloth masks don't even protect them against COVID-19, and an N95 mask will give you around 95% protection IF you wear it absolutely SEALED around your face. If governments will start regulating the use of masks and keep bombarding us with "TRUST THE SCIENCE" slogans, they better start using scientific backed data to advise their citizens.
Any changes for pcr and vax for entering japan ? Is still the changes will be on may 8 ?
Great video! I'm definitely going to use a mask on public transport when visiting Japan this summer. Not sure about wearing one outside though during the sweltering summer heat.
Mask wearing is common in Osaka and Kyoto as observed from a visit earlier this month.
Great Video Nathan! Thank you for involving us in the creation of this video! ❤️ 🥷 🙊 What a great filming location Nishi-Kasai was!
waiting for shoin yoshida to post in the comment section that the japanese people seen in this video without masks are all doctored by cgi!!! my 🍿 is ready
I didn’t wear a mask at all both times I was there. Even on train. No one cares. And actually I don’t care I’m not sheep mentality.
What about the plastic deviders in restaurants and cafes!? Lol
Footage 22-26 Feb 2023. Japan Visitors: Has this put your mind at ease?
All of my friends are tired of masks, but still wear them. You don't want to be the odd one.
So it was 90% the foreigners I saw who didn't wear them ( especially in the train, entering shops, etc..) and bam they are contributing to the "annoying" image foreigners have already…
Please nooooo!!! 😢
Great video to learn what the situation is like in Japan! ✨✨
Please do one more update video about enter rules , mask rules on the end of March or early April to keep us update with the changes in Japan . Thanks for the regular update .
Japanese people have a more reserved "introvert" society. wearing mask came very easy to them as it hide their faces further disconnecting them from those around them. It will be harder to get them to drop the mask than most other countries. If left unchecked it will most absurdly become part of their modern culture
