Bangkok ICONSIAM STREET FOOD TOUR 🇹🇭 (you must eat here)

Today we are in Bangkok Thailand and heading to eat Thai food at ICONSIAM Bangkok’s best mall. The food court here is amazing however when @theroamingcook and I arrived it was packed!

So instead we decided to go on a DIY Street Food tour of the local area to find the best street food in Bangkok just walking distance from Iconsiam itself.

  1. 100 sticks of pork satay only cost about $26 USD or 26 cents each! Here in the US, Thai restaurants sell them as appetizers for about $11 but you only get 5-6 sticks.

  2. Love Satay so will be looking this up when we arrive. I would be that guy at 711 waiting at 4:59 but seriously never knew about that rule. Looking forward to your next series, hope it's as enjoyable as your Lost in Laos.

  3. Am still trying to work out why you cut the Cambodian trek short and are now back again eating in Bangkok?

  4. Love watching you two have a get together Paddy! Greetings from Koh Samui…we will be heading to Bangkok next week and we hope that we can easily find the pork noodle shop:) Thanks for sharing & hope that you’re having a blast in the Philippines 😊

  5. ทำไมผมเห็นชื่อคลิปเป็นภาษาเขมร เพราะเนื้อเรื่องอยู่ในไทย คนอื่นเห็นเหมือนกันไหมครับ

  6. Thanks, Paddy. Man a lot of food back-to-back. Looked good. BTW, I watched the interview of you on The Thaiger. Very interesting. It looks like I'll be heading right back to Thailand, but to some of the islands, so I will have to rewatch some of your old videos for tips! Safe travels to your next destination.

  7. Satay(sate) originally came from madura regency-east java province, Indonesia 🇮🇩
They use lamb meat, we don't deep in coconut water before grilled but deep it in sweet soy sauce, now sate Indonesia using all meat like beef (sumatra province),chicken and rabit (west java province)

  8. Coming to bkk in few days hopefully going to explore these street food there.can you please gv me the directions of these places.thanks

  9. Thanks for always adding the google maps locations! I'm living in Thailand now and really enjoy your videos.

  10. Many Isaan foods originated in the Northeast and have been adopted by Laos.

Such as Som Tam Thai (Thai papaya salad ) , Corn salad , Chim Chum ( Isaan hot pot ) and Sua Rong Yai. It originated in Thailand, but in a few years it has spread to Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Malaysia, but the taste in Thailand is the most delicious.

  11. I really wish we had seen this prior to our ICONSIAM visit in December! ICONSIAM was impressive, but sort of a zoo early on a Friday evening.

  12. As you walk out the back of icon, turn right. There is a food court with some good value restaurants, I lived across the river to the icon. I went on the free ferry to the icon, daily. Great shops etc but food is expensive and packed with tourists etc. Always went out to the road behind for value, sometimes I would buy cheap takeaways and eat it in AC of icon 😉

  13. You need to drop that sidekick of yours and get back on the road. I keep dropping in, but as soon as Gary appears, I exit stage left. Sorry Paddy, but in my opinion he doesn't do your channel any good. Take care and get back on the road……..PLEASE 🙏

  14. Got another 2 hours to wait on my beef casserole in the slow cooker 🤦‍♂Id still swap with guys without a blink of an eye 👍

  15. Loved this video, I am currently in Bangkok and will definitely check those places out, thanks guys!

  16. Not to be missed in ICONSIAM is the sweet green grapefruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, sweet longan, and the pork leg stew on rice.

  17. Enough about food, Paddy. Enough about Gary.
    Bring on some new content

  18. Good on both you, Paddy and to Gary… I swear I could smell and even taste the Pork Satay in peanut sauce.

  19. Thanks for showing the real local street food around Iconsiam! The indoor ‘street food’ is comfortable but nothing beats the outdoor street food ..

  20. Amazing!! Does anyone know how to pronunciation for the beginners version for the pork belly noodle soup? 🫶🏽🙏🏽
