🔴 A quick tour of Kagoshima City Aquarium, which is located along the water, right next to the Sakurajima ferry terminal.
The aquarium opened in 1997 and has a total of seven floors. There is an emphasis on local marine life, and its main attraction – the massive Kuroshio Tank – holds fish of all sizes, including a giant whale shark.
Admission fee is 1500￥, a bit expensive, but well worth it.
