Riding the Mother Road: Route 66 to Oatman.

Starting out in Las Vegas, we sprinted down the freeway to Kingman, AZ on our Harley-Davidson Road Glides. Here we picked up Route 66, the Mother Road and headed back west towards Donkeytown, USA, otherwise known as Oatman, Arizona. This two lane track heads up into the desert mountains and is full of epic views and twisty corners. While most of the animals stick to downtown Oatman, keep your eyes on the road while making your way there. We completed our loop by heading into Laughlin and then climbing back out of the canyon to head back to Vegas. Such an incredible ride!

  1. Flipping through YouTube channels and I find what I've been missing….

Needing to take a trip soon.

Back in the summer of 2020 we followed Route 66 (as much as we could) through NM (stayed at Blue Swallow), no waiting for nice hotels.
We hit Edwards AFB, through NV, UT, CO (Aspin, CO Springs), WY, SD, ND, MN, WI, MI….. great ride.
    Love it out West.

  2. Thanks again for another very good ride!! Appreciated the map and definitly on our bucket list for next April when we will be in Williams,AZ region!

  3. Matt! Great riding content here. My dad added to his gear back in the day, a cut and a pair of chaps he found in an old leather shop there in Oatman. And that riding is sensational, nothing like riding out West.
