In January 2023, European travel expert Rick Steves is hosting the Festival of Europe — a series of free, fun virtual events to inspire travelers to their next European adventure. Register for the next live event at https://www.ricksteves.com/tours/festival-of-europe
Travel is more than just a party. Join Rick and Craig Davidson, Rick Steves’ Europe Chief Operating Officer, to learn about the issues facing the ethical traveler today: How short-term rentals can threaten a community, the value of “dual-narrative travel” that acknowledges that every wall has two sides, the benefit of learning about your home by leaving it, the difference between voyeurism and reality travel, and — most importantly — how to travel ethically in light of climate change. Rick and Craig will answer questions before selecting the winner of a free Rick Steves tour!

Super. mazing view~Rick- 🙂
An excellent presentation! A good point about Airbnb's raising local apartment rent prices.
One correction: Eco awareness is not new in Europe, it has been around since the 1970s.
Mr.Rick Steves,
I have always liked your travel videos as we get to learn so many things by watching them. Here,i would like to ask you " Is it beneficial for the young generation to make a career in Travel and Tourism ?" Kindly let me know your view point. You are an experienced person in this field,so your honest suggestion means a lot !
Sir,my due regards to you !
Thanks ! 😃
A great show. Very moving! Couldn't help but wonder if there aren't some villages in Europe that could use an environmentally friendly boost.
Great video very informative thank you
Interesting video. Ultimately, we all need to generate no carbon. Finding clean methods of transport on the ground will get easier. You could work with bus/coach companies in Europe that are planning to use electric or hybrid tour buses. Maybe a train company could add a Rick Steves branded train carriage? Finding clean ways to fly will be more of an issue. Hopefully, someone will find a way to fly, carbon-free. Or we’ll all be travelling in sailing ships. Keep up the good work.
