Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter πŸ‘– Mixture of Japan's Edo Period and Western Influence

On our way from Fukuyama to Okayama, we made a brief stop in Kurashiki. It’s located in southern Okayama Prefecture. The Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter has buildings from Japan’s Edo period (1603–1867) to the Western-influenced Meiji period (1868–1912).
When we visited, sadly, the Ohara Museum of Art was closed for the day. The museum has a wide range of about 3,000 pieces of art, including Western impressionism, ancient Egyptian, and contemporary Japanese art.
I’ve been wanting to visit Kurashiki. It was short but I’m glad we were able to make it.
