Kinkakuji Temple and Japanese Garden | Kyoto, Japan | A Stroll Through the Golden Pavilion

What to say about Kinkakuji Temple, the golden pavilion, yes It’s a tourist trap, but one that you shouldn’t miss

Aesthetically the opposite of wabi-sabi, what I am more drawn to, but I respect the pursuit of perfection this temple and garden present. It is an extreme blend of a shizen style, where human creativity coexists with nature.

It is a Kaiyu-shiki strolling garden and Muromachi style minimalist garden so you need to take a minute to stop and appreciate that…

  1. I had the opportunity to see the Golden Temple with my own eyes a few years ago. I found the temple and garden ensemble very beautiful!
