  1. I was there on the 24th..I went to Tower Records in the building behind and to the right as you look at this. At the top of the stairs then to the right…If I recall….at least it looks like the same place…I brought some CD's of my fav band (BAND-MAID)…It was my last full day in Japan before heading home on the 25th..I then headed for Shibuya so as the cross the crossing and people watch for one last time before heading back to my hotel so as to post back my pocket Wi-fi rental equipment before the local post office to the hotel closed (5pm)…It was good till the 25th…But as I had to catch my flight at 9.35am….I'd have to get up early to get to the airport to check in etc…Plus I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time in case of troubles getting to the airport and any last minute hold ups….And as I knew the post office would not be open in time for me to post on the day..then doing it the day before seemed like the best option…I wanted to post back via a post office so I'd have a receipt to show I had posted it back (it came with a prepaid return envelope) in case it didn't get back to the hire company and they tried charging me for it. The re-paid envelope got wet (was in my back pack) when I was transfering from my hotel in Kumamoto to the train station…It was hammering it down and was a 40 minute walk in the dark…I couldn't carry an umbrella as I was pulling my carry-on and holding my mobile to navigate. My mobile isn't water proof so it started playing up..which made the walk frustrating as the navigation kept crashing and would not stay locked on. I did have a plastic cover for it…but thought I'd be ok. I had to stop to put in on the phone but by then it wasn't helping much…Plus rain on glasses in the dark and steaming from wearing a mask made it very difficult to read and see where I was going!!….Stopping every few yards to clear my glasses!…Anyway..the envelope got soaked so was worried about if falling apart and so no longer having it to post back the equipment….Luck I had time for it to dry out before the last day…From then on I kept it in a plastic bag when transfering in case I got caught in the rain again.(didn't realise the backpack wasn't as waterproof as I had thought.)…I could have posted at the airport…but when looking it up and reading the poor reviews it got…saying that it wasn't open or wasn't for general post etc….I wasn't gonna risk waiting till I got to the airport to post…Plus I wasn't even sure it the post office at the airport would even be open..(reviews not good)..I didn't want to risk not knowing what to do with it stuck at the airport!….So it was best to post the day before when I could post on my terms and know it was done and out the way..One less thing to worry about on the return day….Just wanted to concentrate on getting to the airport on time.

  2. I too liked the ice cream vending machines..even when it was cold..hehe!…I really liked the matcha icecream one…like a cornetto…Yum!.

  3. As regards toilets..I found some to be pretty open….the gents anyway….Like anyone passing could see you from the door way…open to view…urinals that is…Oh yeah..the bidets….nice!..hehehe!..plus heated seats..Ahhhhhh!..Something I will miss.

  4. The Don Quijote stores are an interesting visit…Pretty much find most things you'd want under one roof and on several floors…Tricky to navigate and the aisles are very narrow at times….I wouldn't say they were cheap..even though they are classed as a discount store…but reasonable prices…Spent alot of time in those stores while there..And being staff there must be maddening listening to the repeated "Don Don Don..Don Qui..Don Qui..jote" tune they play..haha!.

  5. I live in Japan, but you visited many places where I haven't got to visit yet, so I really enjoyed all your videos from the Japan series. I like your style, I almost feel like I'm actually traveling with you. As for masks, it's still 2020 in Japan time I guess… I'm definitely going to follow your next journey to wherever you go! Looking forward to it.

  6. I was visiting the Neko shrine in Toyko..The one with all the maneki neko…And my phone was about to be out of power (used it alot for navigation)..I though I was ok..as I had brought along a power bank for such things..But realised I did not have the right cable on me!!…So

couldn't recharge my phone…I recall passing a small "Family Mart" on my way to the shrine…I had to navigate back to the store using just my sense of direction..and managed to find it..and it had power cables!…So I brought one and was able to continue my days site seeing…I had taken cables with me..but didn't pay enough attention to what type of socket they were..duh!….Didn't make the mistake again…But I would have been in trouble had that shop not been there…as I had already walking 1.4hrs to the first shrine/temple of the day from my hotel before then walking then another 1hr plus from that one to this one. ( I did ALOT of walking in Japan).

  7. Hi guys it's very nice to have a nice stroll in Tokyo while at the gym in Las Vegas
I enjoyed the walk and thank you so much for it.

  8. Thanks for showing your trip. I really liked it and learned a lot. We will go to Japan next week for a two weeks trip.

  9. What a great last video! I'm interested in the biking on the footpath – when I lived there in the early 2000s we were told you had to ride on the footpath (this is in Osaka). I had a car crash into me (pretty bad crash) when I was on the footpath (he came out of a driveway of a parking building) and he had to pay me because it was deemed he was at fault From googling it looks like maybe it changed in the last couple of years because websites from before about 2010 say you have to bike on the footpath and not the road, and sites from about 2020 onwards say on the road. Does anyone know if it changed? Or does it differ by prefecture maybe?
Anyway, regardless of that, great last video and great to see Ken too 🙂
