On our way from Hiroshima to Okayama, we stopped and stayed in Fukuyama. We didn’t know before the visit but were lucky to find out the 400th anniversary Fukuyama Castle Expo was happing. Fukuyama Castle was built in 1622. However, it burned down during World War Two and was reconstructed in 1966.
The city of Fukuyama was celebrating its 400th anniversary of Fukuyama Castle by teaming up with teamLab. They are a digital art collective who have gained fame for their projection mapping and light displays in Japan.
