To generate interest in African culture among Japan’s younger generations, the Tokyo Africa Collection 2019 was held on Sept. 1 to coincide with the seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 7), which was held in Yokohama this year. African designers were invited from Rwanda and South Sudan to show their collections.
