When we walked into the shop we weren’t sure if they were even open. Moments later a sweet old lady greeted us. She took the time to show us around the shop, pick out matcha to try, and gave us a lesson on how to make it. It was so funny watching Venessa whisk and the lady saying “faster! faster!” When we tried to pay she refused and said “omotenashi” which
means to wholeheartedly look after guests. We did end up purchasing matcha and treats to take back home with us and although it’s almost gone, the memory will last forever!
