Playing competitive Geoguessr until I'm 5000th in the world (harpooning the dragon)

Playing Competitive Geoguessr until I’m ranked 5,000th in the world

Back in November you witnessed the crazy journey that was a rusty GeoWizard attempting to pierce the top 10,000 worldwide geoguessr players. Many of you will be pleased to know that this show is back with a second series.
The stakes will be higher, the standard will be higher, and the games are going to be tougher and more intense. Is GeoWizard top 5,000 material in 2023? This video will have you saying both yes and no to that question, several times.

How not to travel America fans: There is no set release date for Episode 5, but I am aiming for Sunday the 22nd 8pm GMT

  1. As many have mentioned, it's better to watch a rusty Tom than the pros out there with their non-geography metas. I stopped watching them a few weeks ago and it feels good, I had enough of their: "red google car, black tape, long antenna, 3rd gen cam, clearly we are in […] " 🤦‍♀

  2. If you're ahead, it's smart to guess immediately on the heal round in order to give your opponent less time to guess more accurately and heal themselves since healing means more to them than to you at that point

  3. Wth is this edit at 19:25 … let us watch! maybe speed up some parts but don't just cut away without warning pls.. ruins the fun

  4. I remember stumbling across this channel when it was on less than 10k subscribers. Haven't watched since and now I get this video recommended and the channel has more than a mil. Congratulations geowizard👏

  5. Seeing mt Fuji got me thinking about the possibility of a how not to travel Japan…

  6. "Do you have to go everywhere I go?! You nob!" haha this was so much fun to watch man you need to grind more of these ranked matches out, seeing you feeling all these emotions is fun 😅

  7. Wait – the play again button doesn’t mean you’re having a rematch right? It just means rejoin the queue?

Tom is an enigma still the best geoguessr content creator after all this time

  8. Don't worry about competitive ranks. There's a lot of cheating going on there. It's not even established there what counts as cheating

  9. You are probably a top ten geoguessr, the problem is there is no urgency in normal geoguessing. There are strats in this duel mode to give your opponent less time and make rough guesses if you are fast enough. These strats/skills are not about geoguessing but just a part of playing duel.

  10. I used to watch your nmpz and challenge videos years ago. you got me into georgraphy. it was great to revisit your page and see that i still enjoy your content very much. thank you for expanding my mind to see the utter beauty in this world.

  11. 29:10 – This town reminded me the greatest lyrics of the rap history
"You know it's Nick Crompton and my collar stay poppin'
Yes, I can rap and no, I am not from Compton
    England is my city
And if it weren't for Team 10, then the US would be shitty
I'll pass it to Chance 'cause you know he stay litty"

  12. damn just a while ago you were one of THE best, good thing you branched away with creative original content to grow a loyal fanbase

  13. I’m not a pro by any means but definitely an above average geoguessr player in the master league, how tf did I just learn Japan drives on the left 😂?

  14. As a Korean living in Seoul, I enjoyed the korean round! I knew it was Korea from the iconic apartment buildings.
Koreans would look at 분당 instead of 수내. It is one of the best known sub-sub-sub-divisions of Korea, even better known than its super-division Seongnam. Anyways, it is not easy to find either of them for foreigners because 분당 is sub-sub-division in Gyeonggi, 수내 and 정자 is subdivision in 분당.
It is very logical to guess near Seoul because 50% of Koreans live in Seoul metropolitan area.
