This series is a record of my trip to Japan in winter 2022. These videos are for me to remember this trip, but they can be entertainment for you guys too, as a bonus 🙂
Travel tips:
– Get an IC card for each person (it will help you avoid a lot of trouble)
– Exchange around $150-200 USD worth of ¥JPY cash at the airport (it will always have the best rates you can find in person) for each week you are in the country
– Many places in the cities do accept credit cards now, but watch out for international transaction fees. Cards usually have the best exchange rate there is, and when asked by card readers to pay in either the local currency or your home country’s currency, always pay in the local currency.
– If you are doing a lot of intercity travel, purchase a Japan Rail Pass or Area Passes for regions of Japan (I bought my JR pass from NTA America)
– You can rent wifi or purchase SIM cards at the airport, I bought a 3 GB SIM card for my 3-week trip, it is enough if you mostly use cellular data on Google Maps and searches.
Recording Equipment:
– Panasonic GH6
– Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 lens
– Deity D4 Mini (sometimes I just used the camera’s integrated mic due to weather or rush)
