My forecast of the big trends that will affect your travel in 2023. From higher prices for flights and hotels there are plenty of negative trends here. But it’s not all bad! I’ll also share some really good trends to look forward to including inexpensive Europe travel and the return of long term travel planning.

Lol. So, to summarize, the trend is everything is going to be worse aka more expensive and less service / quality.
I really enjoyed this video. Lots of info and insight!
Thanks for the information. The only cost effective way to fly from Brisbane to Tokyo was going indirectly via Singapore, double the flight time but halves the price. I think direct flights being very expensive will be a trend!
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Great video -I’ve noticed some of these trends already. In particular, cruising seems to have become increasingly popular for leisure travel and with digital nomads. (They also often provide a great value for regional and intra-continental travel.)
My recent experience is also that luxury and ultra-luxury hotels are often fully booked weeks in advance, never mind the cost!
Great sounds great audio sounds miss you live stream YouTube channel. 2023
34:56 lol chris you are full of surprises
Hi. Enjoyed the video! Would you recommend using Amex Travel to book flights and/or trip itinerary? Going to S. Africa next year and am wondering if it's better for them to do the legwork on flights or if airfare might be cheaper with some of their flight benefits with Platinum card. Thanks!
I've been to the JW in Palm Springs…didn't stay there just went to look around.🤣
I'm all about the food experience…not liking the 25lb experience that followed.🐷
Marriott used give lounge access to CC holders, then they backed out. Too many people, not enough seating and food…same with airlines. I no longer seek out Marriott hotels. The "perks" are a crap shoot that depends on the franchise owner. But Asia still seems to be good at honoring your status.
What I hate most is the push for higher percentage tips all over. Even when you pick up at the cashier a coffee. In these times of less service I tend to think it’s time for less tipping. Tipping I have alway thought was for great service, extra service, fast service, polite service. Not a given “ here’s you coffee, clip the percentage for the top”
I wasn’t on this livestream because I’m in Pakistan which means I was sleeping I’m sorry I couldn’t make it
Excellent video
Wow, glad your price hasn't changed 🤣 Happy New Year! Always great content! Thx.
Excellent video. We have noticed some of these trends too, and feel the same as you that elite status isn't worth it anymore. Looking forward to your video on your Palm Springs stay. We have stayed at JW Marriott in Palm Springs and can't wait to see your review. Look forward to seeing more of your Bunny ! Thanks Chris
Why are people so obsessed with getting their towels changed or getting their room cleaned every day? Do y’all really do that every day when you’re at home ?😂
Very informative! Also the thumbnail is great!! Very colorful, engaging and slick. Keep up the good work.
Sounds pretty depressing
CONCLUSION: They demand more, give you far less, and charge you much more! Lucky us!
We really would rather not have the room cleaned everyday. As long as the hotel will offer clean towel, sheets soap etc. when asked. I also think consumers are creating travel inflation. To many seam to be willing to pay anything to go on vacation. Willing to accept lower service or no service at all. So they should not be surprised that prices go up.
Yes, I recently missed out on the Diamond Head hike. Learned about the reservation system while I was there. I had two more days there that I could do it on, but when I went online, all of the reservayion slots were full.
Saved money on rental car by renting for only the days I needed it and not for the whole trip (and also not having to pay outrageous hotel parking fees). Also was $15 cheaper to park the car overnight at the Waikiki Parking Garage than at the hotel.
I like interacting with a person rather than apps.
Where do you advise staying at in Miami port?
Nice job, always well done.
Hey Chris, sorry I missed the live stream and Q &A.
I do have a question.
Do you plan on making/ selling Yellow Production logo Decals/ stickers???
I have a travel scrapbook binder I would like to put one on as well as my suitcase to make it more noticeable.
Thanks for another video.
It's crazy and sad the house keeping quality in the US has dropped off so much, honestly I would complain to hotel mgmt and expect some reimbursement if my room was not cleaned.
Regarding Airport lounges my experience is that US lounges are vastly inferior to what I have experienced in Europe (Virgin Heathrow, Emirates Birmingham), I've tried JFK, Chicago and Newark and it was like chalk and cheese. Even the Emirates lounges in Manila and Delhi were vastly superior. This is odd one to me as usually America is top of the list when it comes to service levels and these sort of perks.
Sad to hear that Hawaii is now following Vegas with Resort fees, I'm heading their for the first time this June and hotel prices near the beach are super expensive (as someone from UK) already.
Love the info here. My top two favorite travel channels are this one because of the in-depth information on each place , and my other favourite is Lexie Limitless, because of all her crazy adventures (she holds the Guinness world record for being the youngest person to travel to every country in the world).
another good listen. Thank Chris
These days you have to add another $100 to the hotel room rate for parking and resort/destination fees.
WOW! FABULOUS VIDEO! THANKS!
