285Km/h! First class on new type of Bullet train from Tokyo to Atami

The shinkansen, which runs at a maximum speed of 285 km/h, started commercial operation for the first time in 1964 on the Tokaido Shinkansen Line. An average of 366 trains run every day, carrying approximately 230,000 passengers per day! Despite this frequency of operation, there has never been a single train accident resulting in death or injury of passengers since its inception.
A new type of train, the N700S, will be introduced in July 2020. Safe and stable operation has also improved comfort and convenience.
This time, we will take such a new type of Shinkansen train for a one-day trip from Tokyo to Atami, known as a hot spring resort.
Riding in the “Green Car,” a higher grade of train, will make for a comfortable and time-saving day trip!
